The GISlab Online Data Information System (GODIS) is a Geographic Information System Catalogue hosted at the Sudoeste Research Group. This infrastructure aims to catalogue and organize all the geographic information used in previous and ongoing R&D projects. The main goals for this system are:

  • Support for teaching activities in the various courses of Environmental Engineering at the New University of Lisbon;
  • Provide users an intuitive way to search and download relevant GIS information making it available for a vast number of uses;
  • Create a dynamic system that allows authenticated users to input new or updated information allowing a constant refreshing of the GODIS;
  • Serve as the metadata backbone for a future GODIS MapServer Infrastructure.
